What Do I Teach?
I offer high quality, bespoke one-to-one English tutoring to Mandarin speakers, and I specialise in teaching young learners.
You won't find a better service to help improve your child's English. I build effective relationships using my Mandarin skills; I devise relevant and relatable lessons using my knowledge of Chinese culture; I draw upon my extensive experience of teaching across China.

English Language
Language learning is based on four main skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Sessions will focus on developing these learning areas using a fun and interactive approach, whilst being tailor-made to suit the learner's individual goals.
Student Led Learning
Being successful as a teacher is about being adaptable and recognising your learner's differences. Each one of my lessons is unique - customised to suit an individual's needs and enable all to maximise their potential.
Phonics & Reading
​Being able to read starts with the ABCs! From simple sounds to complex sentences, phonics is the foundation of reading and is an essential aspect of English learning. Reading could be the main focus of a lesson, or just a quick exercise, but will be an essential part of a learner's journey to English success.
Extra Curricular
Many learners also study other subjects in English and benefit from further assistance. I can also help with basic maths, science and other subjects should your child need it.
